New work for choir and harp ‘Carmina Iocunda’ – Songs for the Seasons – by Sarah Deere-Jones
This new work for SATB choir and Traditional (or Classical harp) consists of eight English medieval texts inspired by the changing seasons of the year, with the accompaniment written specifically for Traditional harp (lever/Celtic) but also playable on pedal harp. The work lasts around 23 minutes and will be a welcome addition to the classical harp repertoire especially for Traditional harp players.
Sarah will be performing the harp part along with the choir of St Matthew’s Church, Great Peter Street, Westminster on April 21st 2018 at 6pm in an hour-long concert, which will also be featuring some of Sarah’s other compositions for solo harp. Entrance is FREE, donations on departure, wine and refreshments will be served after the concert.
