2024This evening we listened to six outstanding young musicians compete in the final of the United Kingdom Harp Competition.
1st prize - Hebe Kan, 2nd prize Stien De Neef 3rd prize to Katie Lo The Sioned Williams harp prize was awarded to Jimena Eisele Farag. Congratulations to the other finalists Priyanka Gohal and Tannaz Beihi, the standard was incredibly high and each performer gave an exceptional performance. Thanks also go to the adjudicators Lucy Wakeford and Rachel Wick for their attentive listening and encouraging words and lastly, a special mention to the teachers, friends and family for their support! |

2023An outstanding evening listening to six wonderful musicians competing in the final of the United Kingdom Harp Competition.
1st prize was awarded to Huw Boucher, 2nd prize to Aisha Palmer 3rd prize to Priyanka Gohal. The Sioned Williams harp prize was awarded to Emilia Agajew. Huw and Aisha performed at the Harp on Wight Festival in the Autumn as part of their prizes and Huw will also give a winner’s recital at Salvi Music London…anyone at these concerts will be in for a treat. Thank you to the adjudicators Jean Kelly and Gwenllian Llyr for their attentive listening and encouraging words and a special mention to the teachers, friends and family for their support! |
2022Congratulations to the five finalists of the United Kingdom Harp Competition at the The North London Festival. (L to R) Katie Sherratt, Anwen Mai Thomas, Aisha Palmer, Huw Boucher and Heather Brooks performed beautifully to an appreciative audience.
Joint 2nd prize winners Huw and Heather will perform a recital on the Harp on Wight Festival later this year. Aisha Palmer was the winner of the third prize and Ruth Lee (who performed in the first round) was awarded the Sioned Williams Harp Prize for a creative programme which included her own compositions. Our thanks go to Ruth Faber and Harriet Adie for adjudicating two days of harp classes. |
