Membership of The United Kingdom Harp Association is open to anyone who has an interest in the instrument whether they play the harp or sell harps, or simply love the sound of the instrument and want to support the work of the association. The association's members include professional, retired, amateur and student harp players as well as businesses relating to the harp. We are a nationwide association covering the whole of the United Kingdom. We welcome members worldwide.
Any harpist: professional, student and amateur.
Anyone who has services to offer the harp community. Anyone who loves the instrument and has any interest relating to the harp. |

Membership Benefits
As a member of the UK Harp Association (UKHA), you will enjoy a wide range of benefits designed to support, inspire, and connect harpists at every stage of their journey.
Events and Community
Members receive free access to many UKHA events, both in person across the UK and online, as well as exclusive access to members-only concerts, workshops, and performances. These events provide valuable opportunities to connect with harpists nationwide and internationally.
Publications and Updates
Members receive HARP Magazine twice a year, keeping them informed about developments in the harp world. Each issue includes reviews of new music, recordings, concerts, and courses, alongside engaging articles on harp-related topics and advertising for relevant events, products, and services.
In addition, members receive a monthly e-newsletter with information about upcoming events, opportunities, and association news.
Members’ Online Area
Members have access to a comprehensive online resource hub, which includes:
• Around the World in Tunes: Traditional arrangements from around the world, with new sheet music released every month, including access to 12 pieces from 2025 and previously donated works.
• Composer’s Corner: A regularly updated showcase of new music, with new compositions featured every two weeks.
• Magazine Archive: Full access to all past editions of HARP Magazine.
• Digital Sheet Music Library: A growing collection of donated sheet music, available free to members.
• Glissando On the Go: Continuously updated information about harp transport and harp cars, shared by members.
Funding and Professional Development
Members may apply for financial awards of up to £600 to support harp-related projects, including concerts, workshops, masterclasses, recordings, composition, and community and outreach work.
Members are also eligible to apply for the Emerging Artists Scheme, which supports aspiring professional harpists at the beginning of their careers through mentoring and collaborative concert opportunities.
Promotion and Advertising
Members can advertise harps for sale and promote their teaching services on the UKHA website free of charge.

Membership costs
- Youth membership (within UK only, under 18 years)
Youth membership is open to any individual below 18 years of age. Their membership must be registered and administered by their parent/guardian or a responsible adult who can demonstrate that they themselves are over 18 years of age. - Student membership (within UK only 18-25 years)
Student membership is open to members aged 18 to 25 years of age, who are currently studying/enrolled in a full-time course of study at a U.K institution. - Full membership
Full membership fees for members outside UK £31 - Corporate membership (includes advertisement in HARP magazine)
